About the Role: Software Engineer – Backend

As a Software Engineer – Backend at Zeotap, you will be working on high-scale solutions that redefine how customer data is processed and activated. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in advanced technologies and solve complex challenges while contributing to world-class products.

Your responsibilities include:

Designing, developing, and implementing scalable products and modules while ensuring performance, fault tolerance, and security.
Exploring and operationalizing emerging technologies to keep Zeotap ahead of the curve.
Acting as a consultant to internal teams, offering innovative solutions for diverse business challenges.
Working on cutting-edge technologies such as Big Data, Event Processing, and Business Logic, ensuring that the solutions are future-ready.
Handling escalations and delivering solutions to customer issues with a proactive approach.
Taking complete responsibility for assigned features and modules, from concept to implementation.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are eager to learn, grow, and create exceptional products with us. Here’s what you’ll need:

0–1 years of experience in building and deploying high-scale solutions.
Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Go with strong coding skills.
High-level and low-level design experience with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Familiarity with caching technologies, OLTP databases, and noSQL databases.
Basic knowledge of distributed systems and design principles.
Experience with Apache Spark or other Big Data technologies is a plus.
Hands-on experience with queueing systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
Knowledge of REST web app frameworks.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
